Life Happens

Well since I last posted on my blog, alot of things have happened, as I tell some of my prospective hosts that have to cancel their shows because "life happens". Since I last posted my son Mark became gravely ill. We went through a very difficult time but now Mark is much better. Talk about being scared, I've never been so scared as a parent until this illness happened.

David is working full time as an IT Manager, he's been in his new position for about a month and he is already getting offers to become an IT Director from the east coast. I don't know if I'm ready to move from Indiana just yet so we are all staying put for a while.

I can't believe that in 8 months my Mark will be graduating high school. Where did the time go to? Just yesterday I remember him telling me when we moved into our house in Park Forest that the house was too big and he couldn't live there. That was 5 minutes ago wasn't it? Time does fly way too fast when you have children. We are in the process of setting up some tours to visit colleges and we have narrowed down the field that Mark would like to investigate to two, culinary and computers. We'll see what happens with this.

I am really enjoying being a stay at home Mom/Housewife and I don't think I could ever see my self working 9 to 5 in downtown Chicago ever again. I love taking care of my family and our home, it's nice to greet my guys home with a nice home cooked meal instead of racing around the house at night to throw something that resembles a dinner together or rearing up in bed in the middle of the night to panic attacks of whether or not I ordered cashews and diet coke for the boss on the private jet.

My Pampered Chef business is doing well and I plan on having a really fantastic business built by this time next year. I love that I can drop my business and pick it up when ever I want. I know when Mark had gotten ill, I couldn't of just informed any employer that I'll be back at work when my son's well. With my own Pampered Chef business I was able to do this with no stress or worry that I was letting someone down.

We do have a new addition to our "fur babies" his name is Buddy and he is Golden Retriever and Gordorn Setter. It's interesting to see how different his personality is from our Buster Boy and he does turn into the devil after 6:00 PM every evening wanting to chew up every hand in sight or to chase every cat he can find but I wouldn't change a thing. I love all of our fur babies and I enjoy taking care of them every day. Buster for the first time in two years is finally playing with another dog, this makes me so HAPPY for him.

Until we meet again...

Life as I know it...

Hi All:

Well it's been a very long time since I have updated my blog. Alot of things have been going on in my life. The one positive thing is that I have now dedicated all of my energy to my Pampered Chef Business FULL TIME! I am so excited that I cannot tell you how happy I finally am. Owning my own business is so wonderful. I can't imagine not doing this.

My husband David is 1/2 way through with his Masters degree and is working very hard to accomplish this as quickly as possible.

My son Mark is attending driving school (look out world) he seems to really like this class and now tells me all of the things I am doing wrong while I am driving. Oh boy!

All of our animals, Tiger, Patch and our Buster boy are doing great. When I come back to this world reincarnated I want to come back as one of them with someone like me as their owner. Talk about spoiled pets.

More later
All the Best...

Laura
